Pattern Baldness In Males And Females
Hair loss has become a very common phenomenon today. You will find many people complaining about increasingly losing hair, consequently leading to baldness. Some people loose all of their hairs on heads but some suffers from portioned baldness. This type is called pattern baldness. Pattern baldness should be given attention as you start noticing it. In many cases pattern baldness is a symptom of some disease and hence cannot be treated successfully. But there is chance to slow down the process through medical treatment. There are also cases where it can be treated at the prevention level. Successful treatment of pattern baldness is subject to two conditions: one if action is taken immediately and second if the hair loss is natural. In case of natural loss, hair can re-grow. Therefore, thinning of hair needs immediate attention to avoid worsening situations.
Patterns
Pattern baldness happens to male as well as female individuals. But it is most common among males. Worth mentioning is the fact that around 70% of adult males witness this problem at some time in their adult life. It is generally noticeable as the hair line starts receding from the sides of the forehead. Such type of hair loss is commonly known as a receding hairline or a receding brow. In other cases a patch of hairs becomes thin at the top of their head, which is medically known as androgenic alopecia. It is a condition when enzymes that convert hormone testosterone slow down the growth of hair. It usually occurs in older years of age but in some cases it happens as soon as individuals reach puberty. It can be genetic in some cases.
The other type is female pattern baldness and is not very common. In females hair becomes thin and broadens the midline parting. It usually happens when the female body stops making estrogen in the body. It happens usually after menopause and generally in later years. But in some cases it can happen at an early age as well.
Whether hair loss is great or small, it is a problem that can cause emotional stress. It is a problem of both men and women with high potential of psychological harm and hence it needs to be taken care of if possible. Dealing with physical appearance is not very difficult but fighting through emotional trauma is really stressful. It doesn’t bother many people when hair loss happens and for those there is no reason to consider treatment. Hair loss only needs to be addressed when it causes emotional distress. Thos people may need to consult professionals who can help them resolve these problems. The regulation of hormones in the body is possible through medical treatment, and that may be all that is need to reverse the situation. All you need is to approach your doctor in time, as it may solve your hair loss problem.
